Riot Games has revealed that iconic League of Legends champion Teemo will be added to its upcoming fighting game 2XKO.
The announcement was accompanied by a two-minute-long trailer posted online, unveiling that the game’s tenth fighter will join on October 7th, 2025.
Based on the trailer, the Yordle boasts a zoning and trapping move set similar to his MOBA counterpart.
He can launch projectiles across the screen, place mushrooms to attack the opponent, take flight, and create foliage to teleport to, boasting a particularly high skill ceiling. Teemo also brings a unique mechanic to the FGC title, earning badges mid-match by performing certain combos for a series of in-game buffs.
In addition to being the smallest character in the game so far, Teemo is setting up to be one of the game’s most unique characters from the Summoners Rift.
Similar to previous releases, such as Blitzcrank, it is anticipated that Riot Games will share more details surrounding Teemo later this week ahead of his launch.
Teemo will arrive on the same day as 2XKO’s transition from closed beta to early access, which lets players experience the main framework of the game for the first time.
2XKO in 2025
Teemo’s introduction has become the latest development for 2XKO, which has recently been ramping up its content after a period of inactivity for several months.
Earlier this September, Riot Games shared its plan to support the game’s esports scene by sponsoring 22 community-led tournaments, including events such as DreamHack Atlanta, through First Impact.
2XKO is Riot Games’ upcoming free-to-play 2v2 fighting title featuring characters from the popular esports title, League of Legends, and has already introduced characters like Vi, Yasuo and Ekko. As of writing, the game does not have an official full 1.0 release date.
