G2 Esports has announced a new partnership with Germany’s airline Lufthansa ahead of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship.
Lufthansa becomes the esports organisation’s official travel partner, transporting its players to the international championship taking place from October 14th to November 9th, 2025.
Lufthansa will help ensure the G2 League of Legends roster attends the Worlds LAN events in China, which includes potentially travelling across Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
More information surrounding the partnership will be revealed closer to the event, including fan activations and experiences.
What to Expect at Worlds 2025
Worlds 2025 is the crowning event of the season and the most prestigious event of the League of Legends esports scene.
Teams compete across various stages, from the Play-Ins and the Swiss Stage until October 25th to the Knockout Stage from October 28th to November 9th.
G2 joins 16 other qualified teams, such as 100 Thieves and T1, for the LAN event in China, where it will look to claim a lion’s share of its $5m prize pool.
The esports organisation successfully qualified for Worlds 2025 after winning LEC 2025 Summer Split, defeating Movistar KOI 3-0 in the Grand Finals.
G2 has had a strong year so far competitively, placing second in LEC 2025 Spring and fourth in the Esports World Cup League of Legends tournament.
In previous years, it placed ninth in both Worlds 2024 and 2023, and eleventh in 2022. Despite struggling in previous years, the team aims to be a strong contender at this season’s championship, alongside top organisations like MSI champion Gen.G Esports.
