Shopify Rebellion has become back-to-back champions after winning HCS Charlotte, the final Major of the Halo Infinite cycle.
The North American esports organisation defeated FaZe Clan 4-1 in the event’s Grand Final.
The HCS Salt Lake City champions kicked off the tournament with a dominant Group A campaign, winning three matches and conceding one map to secure a place in the double-elimination knockout bracket.
An opening quarter-final match against OpTic Gaming was a tantalising prospect, with two of the world’s best Halo teams battling it out on the main stage. With the series tied up at 1-1, Shopify Rebellion asserted its dominance to secure the best-of-five with a 3-1 victory.
With the momentum in its favour, the team swept aside Spacestation Gaming in the semi-finals before scoring another 3-0 over FaZe Clan in the upper bracket semi-final to book its place in the Grand Final.
FaZe Clan managed to halt a resurgent OpTic Gaming in the lower bracket final with a thrilling 3-2 victory, setting up a rematch against Shopify Rebellion to determine the eventual champion.
Shopify Rebellion quickly established dominance, racing away to a three-map lead. FaZe answered back on Aquarius Assault to reduce the deficit, but it wasn’t enough to stop Shopify Rebellion from taking Solitude Slayer 50-45 to secure another championship victory.
The HCS Charlotte champions take home $100,000 (~£74,483) in prize money along with the top seed for the season-ending Halo World Championship 2025.
What Next For Halo Esports?
Following the conclusion of the 2025 HCS Major calendar, all eyes turn towards the Halo World Championship 2025 taking place from October 24th to 26th.
16 teams from across the world will head to Seattle, Washington, for a chance to win a share of the $1m (~£744,610) prize pool and an opportunity to become the final HCS champion of the Halo Infinite era.
