Activision has revealed the groups for the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship Finals 2025.
The COD Mobile World Championship Finals will see 16 teams competing from November 7th to 9th in Katowice, Poland, for a share of $850,000 (~£6,37,000) in prize money.
As per the rulebook, the groups were decided based on their regional performance as well as the 2024 results for their respective regions. Additionally, the groups have been balanced to feature a mix of Eastern and Western teams.
COD Mobile World Championship 2025 Groups
The official groups for the COD Mobile World Championship 2025, based on the seeding above, are as follows:
- Group A: Elevate, EOCHITL Gaming, GodLike Esports, Amigos Gaming
- Group B: Wolves, Street Gaming, Diavolos, Unmythic Dream
- Group C: Galorys, Stand Point Gaming, Exclusive, Stalwart Esports
- Group D: TLE Esports, S8UL Esports, B34R Clan, Qing Jiu Club
Group A is playing host to the defending world champion, Elevate. The team has competed with the same core roster since 2023 and boasts a near-perfect record in tournaments since 2024.
Last year, Elevate managed to thrash Chinese favourites Qing Jiu Club in the Summer Invitational as well as the World Championship to win both tournaments. Elevate is the favourite this time around as well.
Other teams to look out for are Stalwart Esports, Qing Jiu Club, and Wolves.
Stalwart is a Filipino squad and Elevate’s home rival. It is the only team that has managed to dethrone Elevate in recent times, as it won the Garena Masters Season 9 last July.
China’s Qing Jiu Club, the runner-up from last year, suffered a devastating loss in the grand finals against Elevate in the 2024 World Championship. The team now returns with three new players to try again for the trophy. Notably, the team now features Kong ‘Dchen’ Zhuyu, a veteran player who has been competing since 2019.
Wolves enter the tournament as China’s top seed and is also a former world champion, having lifted the trophy in 2023. The roster still features two players from that title-winning line-up, bringing valuable experience. It also won the 2025 Major earlier this year.
Format Explained
All groups will first compete in a GSL-style, with the top two teams from each advancing to the play-offs.
The play-offs will have a double-elimination bracket. All matches are set to be best-of-five, except for the grand final, which will be best-of-seven.
