The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has launched the Certified Talent Agents Program designed to recognise organisations representing talent within the esports, gaming and entertainment industries.

Talent agencies SEG Esports and Prodigy Agency have become the foundation members of the initiative.

ESIC reveals that the initiative has been developed in collaboration with ‘over 15 global agencies’ to identify challenges within the sector. The introduction of the framework sets a standard for agents and agencies representing esports players.

The programme includes an evaluation process which involves financial due diligence and criminal history checks. Agents who earn accreditation must accept and adhere to a code of conduct to protect clients and to reinforce accountability for any wrongdoing.

“The Certified Talent Agents Program represents a significant step forward for the esports industry,” said Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC.

“By providing a clear, credible pathway for talent agents, we are addressing an area that has been largely unregulated and often problematic for players.”

The Certified Talent Agents Program is the latest initiative the Commission has launched this year. In July, it joined forces with ggCircuit to launch esports venue infrastructure certification to set a global standard for facilities located across the world.

ESIC In 2025

Throughout 2025, ESIC has actively enforced its measures to ensure esports integrity remains an important part of the industry.

January saw the Commission join forces with the World Intellectual Property Organisation to launch the International Games and Esports Tribunal, providing dispute resolution services to industry stakeholders.

In October, it issued two interim suspensions to Counter-Strike 2 teams SENZA and Northern Lights due to alleged breaches of the anti-corruption code and code of conduct.

Elsewhere, the Commission continues to expand its Anti-Corruption network. In recent months, BETBY and Thunderpick have become the latest members of the network, which identifies and investigates questionable betting practices.
