G2 Esports has announced the launch of Red Aura, a new online comic series inspired by the history of the European esports organisation.
The series released globally in Japanese and English starting on October 31st, with new episodes to be released every week.
The organisation has joined forces with Japanese Art Director Runbel and KISAI Entertainment, the studio behind the web comic adaptation of AVATAR: The Last Airbender.
According to a release, the creation of the web comic is part of G2 Esports’ mission to ‘push creative boundaries of an esports organisation,’ aiming to connect with new audiences as it continues to expand into new areas of entertainment and media.
“For over 10 years, G2 has chased excellence and defied expectations,” said Sabrina Ratih, COO of G2 Esports. “G2 is at the heart of digital-first entertainment, and with Red Aura, we’ve created a story that anyone can enjoy, whether they’re an esports fan or not.”
The story follows the journey of a character named Asa within a world of magical nomads. Each story arc takes inspiration from various parts of the organisation’s ten-year history.
Over 40 episodes of Red Aura will release as part of its first season. The first five episodes are available in Japanese on the LINE MANGA platform, with plans to release the series in more languages on the WEBTOON platform at a later date.
G2 Esports’ Continued Expansion
Throughout 2025, G2 Esports has continued to expand its presence outside of esports. In January, the organisation launched media house agency 62 to help non-endemic brands connect with esports audiences.
April saw the organisation announce its entry into traditional sports with the launch of the G2 Football Club. The club competes in Kings League Germany, where it currently sits in second place in the league table.
Elsewhere, the organisation continues to collaborate with various lifestyle brands to launch limited-edition merchandise collections.
