Top Super Smash Bros. Melee pro Justin ‘Wizzrobe’ Hallett recently announced that he won’t be attending FAST FALL$ after Nouns Esports failed to follow through on a promised free flight to the tournament.
FAST FALL$ is one of the stops on the way to the highly anticipated Nounsvitational Tokyo 2025, making it a pretty big deal for top Melee competitors. However, Wizzrobe told fans on Discord that he won’t be attending due to the ‘disorganisation’ of the event.
Earlier this year, Nouns Esports announced a Vote-In program for Nounsvitational, with the top two most-voted Melee players earning a fully paid spot in the Major over in Tokyo. The third and fourth-most-voted players would get a free flight and hotel stay for FAST FALL$.
Wizzrobe, currently ranked 9th in the SSBMRank Summer 2025, got enough fan votes to get him the free flight and hotel for FAST FALL$.
Wizzrobe No Longer Attending Fast Fall$ After Losing Free Flight
On October 30th, Wizzrobe shared a message with his fans about his decision to no longer attend FAST FALL$.
According to Wizzy, he ‘won a free flight and hotel’ through the Vote-In program earlier in the year, but was never contacted by Nouns Esports. When he met with someone in person and started discussing the situation with them, he was under the impression that he would be getting the flight and stay after all.
However, he was then ‘randomly’ told that the organisation changed its mind due to an assumption that he was not attending, which Wizzrobe said he had never told them.
The flight was given to UK competitor Jamie Geary instead, wrote Wizzrobe.
“I feel like it’s not fair to Envy and my fans to have to pay for a flight that we already earned through voting,” Wizzy said on Discord. “Ultimately, with how unorganised the entire process of this event has been, I’ve decided not to go.”

After this entire situation unfolded, Wizzrobe was offered to share a room with another competitor. But still no free flight.
On X (formerly Twitter), one of Nouns Esports’ founders noted that there was ‘a ton of evidence of blatant cheating’ happening within Team Envy’s Discord.
“Not my place to comment on the dialog with Wizzy since that wasn’t something I handled, but it’s worth noting that we got a ton of evidence of blatant cheating in the vote happening in their Discord,” Sasquach wrote. “Probably the most egregious we saw during the entire process.”
Fans fought back, however, stating that Wizzy had only shared ways they could vote. Fans joked about making alternative accounts to vote multiple times, but the organisation itself had not launched a large campaign to do so on Wizzy’s behalf.
Either way, nobody at Nouns had stated that Wizzrobe had been disqualified.
I contacted Nouns Esports to clarify the situation, but I have not heard back as of the time this report was published. I will update this article if Nouns responds.
