The Game Awards has revealed all 30 nominated titles for its Players’ Voice category, with some esports titles making the list.

The announcement marks the beginning of the first round of votes, with players able to vote for their top 10 games to move to the second round.

Esports Titles in The Players’ Voice

Several esports titles were included among the nominees this year. Fortnite has become one of the most popular multiplayer shooter games in the world since its release in 2017. In 2025, Epic Games continued to expand on the game’s esports scene, Fortnite Champion Series, by bringing trios to the Global Championship in Lyon-Décines, France.

Furthermore, the game continues to hold regular Ranked and Victory Cups, regional open bracket competitions where players enter for a chance to earn in-game rewards.

Marvel Rivals is a game that exploded onto the scene earlier this year as a new competitor within the hero shooter space. From an esports front, it holds seasonal Championships for players to enter, but also holds its first elite circuit through the Ignite series. The first season concluded with the Grand Finals in DreamHack Atlanta, but only time will tell whether NetEase will continue to support the game’s competitive future.

Battlefield 6 is a large-scale multiplayer shooter that has made a competitive splash since its launch in November. Various creator tournaments have been held, such as the CouRage Clash, pitting the top influencers against one another in the battle royale RedSec: Gauntlet mode. Electronic Arts also announced the first competitive season for Battlefield called the Elite Series, offering $1m (~£757,000) in prize funds across multiple regions.

Other titles have also delved into esports this year. Back in September, free-to-play shooter title Delta Force held an inaugural invitational in China, with $500,000 (~£373,215) in prize funds. Mario Kart World has held several competitions this year, including the European November Knockout in November 29th, 2025 and the Knockout Tour Streamer Showdown broadcast on IGN’s channels.
