Red Bull has kicked off ticket sales for the eighth iteration of its Age of Empires tournament, Red Bull WOLOLO 2026.

To celebrate the ‘Londinium’ edition of the event series, the energy drink brand has also staged Age of Empires takeovers across three locations in the city today (December 3rd).

According to Red Bull Gaming, London’s Leicester Square, Tower Bridge, and Hyde Park, ‘have been transported back to the Middle Ages’ to celebrate its tickets going live. Moreover, performers dressed as iconic Age of Empires characters aim to offer fans a glimpse of the tournament ahead of its kickoff in April.

Ticket Sales officially went live today at 1 PM BST, allowing fans to witness the Playoffs and Grand Final in person. For those unable to secure a ticket, Red Bull WOLOLO will be broadcast via the Red Bull Gaming Twitch channel. 

Red Bull WOLOLO 2026: Format

Red Bull WOLOLO 2026 will see top players from around the globe compete across Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition as well as Age of Empires IV.

Both competitions will be divided into three phases. The Group Stages from April 1st to 3rd will take place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch. For the Playoffs from April 4th to 5th, the event will move to the Odeon Luxe Cinema on Leicester Square.

The Grand Final will be held at the Royal Albert Hall on April 6th. In addition, a 40-piece orchestra will be performing the game’s soundtrack for the over 2,5000 Grand Final attendees. 

For Age of Empires II, two groups of four players each must first survive the round robin Group Stage. The top four competitors will then advance to the single-elimination Playoffs bracket and battle for the $170,000 (~£128,000) total prize pool.

The Age of Empires IV event, on the other hand, will offer a $40,000 (~£30,000) prize pool. The winner will be determined through a 1-versus-1 single-elimination bracket. Open Qualifiers for both titles already start in January 2026.
