Epic Games has unveiled the Fortnite Mobile Series, a solo mobile esports tournament for the free-to-play battle royale title.

The touch-only tournament begins on December 5th, 2025, with players competing for a share of $1m (~£750,300) in prize money using the title’s Blitz Royale game mode.

Announced on December 3rd, players from North America Central, Europe, North America West, Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, and Brazil will compete in the first phase of the Fortnite Mobile Series, which features monthly opens.

Qualifiers reward prize money for the top 16 players apart from the Last Chance Qualifier, providing players with one more chance to earn a place in the Group Stage.

The Group Stage and Semi-Finals will feature the best players from each server region. The top three players from North America Central and Europe, along with the top two from the remaining regions, will advance from the Semi-Finals to the in-person Mobile Series Championship.

The inaugural edition of the Mobile Series Championship sees the remaining 16 players battling it out for a share of a $200,000 (~£149,989) prize pool.

The Mobile Series Championship joins an extensive lineup of competitive events taking place throughout December. In addition to mobile tournaments, Victory Cups will offer players a chance to win a share of $810,000 (£611,574) across its overall prize pool.
