Alongside crowning a Teamfight Tactics Paris Open champion, Riot Games has revealed the auto-battler’s 2026 roadmap, complete with teases over what new Sets are coming.

Next year will include a total of three new Sets as well as the return of Fates: Festival of Beasts for the TFT Lunar Revel in January 2026.

Riot Games teased the themes of the three new Teamfight Tactics sets in its 2026 readmap video. In the video, Geoff Virtue, VP Executive Producer of Teamfight Tactics, and Peter Whalen, Senior Game Director of Teamfight Tactics, also looked back on 2025.

Teamfight Tactics’ 2026 Sets

Set 17 is expected to be launched in Spring 2026 and looks to focus on Teamfight Tactics’ carousel system. Hinting at the Set’s theme, Whalen highlighted that Set 17 will be “looking to the cosmos.”

In June 2026, Riot Games also announced that Pengu’s Party will once again be returning, this time celebrating the game’s seventh anniversary.

Whilst Set 17 aims to utilise a commonly used system, Set 18 will “build upon the magic of a Set mechanic from the past,” according to Virtue. The exact mechanic that will be revamped has yet to be revealed; however, the new Summer 2026 Set will be themed around a verdant forest.

Set 19 has the least amount of information revealed. However, it will be themed around music. In the graphic, Riot Games described the new Set as follows: “Grab your tickets to our biggest musical event yet.” This Set will be released in Winter 2026.

Rounding out the roadmap, Riot Games highlighted the TFT Las Vegas Open, scheduled for December 2026. Announced during the TFT Paris Open, which was won by Huanmie, the 2026 TFT Open heads back to North America following international events in France and Macao.

Is More PvE Incoming?

When looking back at 2025, Virtue and Whalen also discussed Teamfight Tactics’ development into PvE (player vs environment). This year, Teamfight Tactics launched Ao Shin’s Ascent, TFT’s first attempt at a rogue-like game mode.

According to Whalen, Teamfight Tactics was “really happy with how Ao Shin’s Ascent was received”, highlighting that “we’re honestly just getting started.” However, regarding new PvE experiences in 2026, he highlighted that fans should not “expect it to appear on this year’s roadmap.”
