Nickal is one of the most promising prospects to ever step into the MMA world. A three-time NCAA wrestling champion, Nickal is 6-0 to start his pro fighting career including three straight wins inside the octagon. No fighter has managed to go the distance against Nickal, with only Cody Brundage making it out of the first round when he fought Nickal this past April at UFC 300. Nickal went on to finish Brundage in the second via rear-naked choke submission.
The undefeated middleweight faces his most experienced opponent yet in 26-fight veteran Craig. Itâs been a tough stretch for Craig, who is coming off of back-to-back losses and is 1-4 in his past five appearances. Craig was knocked out in Round 2 by Caio Borralho in his most recent outing. Scattered across the Scotsmanâs record are a number of notable wins at 185 and 205 pounds, including finishes of Mauricio âShogunâ Rua, Magomed Ankalaev, Jamahal Hill, and Andre Muniz.
